What’s the difference between Top Links and Popular Links?

Top Links are ranked by stars and organized by seniority. They move to the top by the number of stars awarded, but fall into order by date of entry. For example, if two listings have the same number of stars, the one with the earliest date of entry is displayed closest to the top.

A listing can have up to 5 stars. Stars are awarded by the administrator using a flexible model. The system we use to rate a listing depends on a variety of factors, so it can’t be black and white. But it basically comes down to the level of participation, contribution, or initiative exercised by the user (account holder) in helping direct new users to us. Here are some tips:

Here is how listings are displayed in the Para-Links directory. The differences between listings are identified primarily by the background color, border, and icon on the upper right hand corner. Features such as social networking icons and star ranking can be added to any listing.
